Our historically significant neighbour - the bear pit - is celebrating its reopening on Sat 29 March! After nearly 60 years, Leeds Civic Trust has successfully restored this historic space, and we’d love for you to celebrate with us.
The event will kick off at 12:30 PM with speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the unveiling of a new information board, detailing the history and restoration of the bear pit. Afterwards, there will be two small guided tours offering insights into the work done to restore the Bear Pit, along with a chance to get involved in planting some wildflowers in our new bear pit garden! Before the ceremony, join us at HPPH where we're hosting some special bear screenings - Paddington in Peru with a bear trail and special introduction from Leeds Civic Trust. And the day before, we've got a toddler screening of The Bear and We're Going on a Bear Hunt.
