What’s on
Memory Matinees
Info & FAQs
What’s different about these screenings?
We’ve taken advice from the Alzheimer’s Society to make these screenings as accommodating as possible to those living with dementia. This means lights will be raised slightly and the sound level will be slightly lower than normal. We’ll also have captions/subtitles where possible.
Staff and volunteers have all undergone dementia awareness training and will be on hand throughout the screenings to provide assistance when needed. Please note that pastoral care is not provided, a friend, family member or carer must also attend.
Who can attend?
While these screenings have been designed with those living with dementia and their families/carers in mind, anyone is welcome to attend.
What price are the tickets?
We want to ensure Memory Matinee screenings are accessible to everyone. Our Pay What You Can ticketing structure means exactly that – you choose how much to pay based on your financial situation. Below are some suggested prices.
We recommend booking ahead to ensure there’s definitely space when you arrive. All tickets include a free hot drink on arrival and a free ice cream in the interval, donated by Northern Bloc.
We also welcome any donations to help us keep tickets prices low. You can donate here.
