With its vivid visuals, heightened dramatics & emotional storylines, join us this winter as we journey deep into the fascinating genre of movie melodrama. From Hollywood to Bollywood to Nollywood, experience some of cinema's most sensationalist film.
Presented as part of a national season supported by the BFI and Film Hub North Too Much see's us work with friends and partners to bring you a truly unique HPPH programme. From a special live-scored screening of silent classic The Unknown (1927), to a Hallmark Christmas collaboration between our Guilt Free Pleasures series and curator Darragh Amelia – we'll be exploring the many moods of melodrama on screen.
