Enzo
15
Enzo is born into a life of privilege but he wants to forge a separate path and rebel against the norms set by his over-protective parents. His act of rebellion is by choosing a different career and training to be a bricklayer. Struggling to keep up with the physical demands of the job, Enzo finds solace in a Ukrainian colleague Vlad, who has escaped the war back home.
This beautifully realised film is the last from the partnership between Laurent Cantet and Robin Campillo (Cantet passed away in 2024) with Campillo stepping up and realising Cantet's vision by completing the film whilst still adding his own style and flair. Campillo edited six and co-wrote five of Cantet's films, including Entre les murs (The Class) which won the Palme d'Or in 2008.
