Eagles of the Republic

George Fahmy lives a charmed, luxurious life as Egypt's most beloved leading man. However, when he's approached by the country's highest authorities to star in a propaganda film about the president's rise to power, the life he knows is threatened if he refuses their call. Drawn into a web of lies, spies and deception of the inner circle of power, George finds himself unable to escape the snare of tyranny in all its forms.
Eagles of the Republic is a cautionary tale of encroaching totalitarianism and how it corrupts politics, culture and personal lives and is the final film in the director's loose Cairo trilogy, which also includes The Nile Hilton Incident (2017) and Boy from Heaven (aka Cairo Conspiracy) (2022).
