Ticket price changes

news

From Fri 10 Jan, our ticket prices will change to ensure the cinema remains financially sustainable & accessible.

So that HPPH remains both financially sustainable and accessible, our prices will be changing from this Friday. While some of the changes will see certain ticket types increase, we’re also reducing other tickets and have accessible ways of visiting.

As a non-profit charity, every penny we take through tickets is reinvested back into the cinema, allowing us to look after our important heritage building and deliver a diverse programme of inspiring films from around the world.

This is the first time we’ve had to make any changes to our prices since the cinema opened over 18 months ago, and we’ve worked hard to ensure that there are still many ways audiences can access cheaper and discounted tickets throughout the week.

Here's everything you need to know about changes to our ticket prices from Fri 10 Jan:

  • The price of our adult and concession tickets will be increasing to £10.50 and £8.50.
  • All day Monday and Tuesday, those eligible for concession price tickets will pay even less, with our new £6.50 Concession Saver ticket.
  • We’ll continue to offer a significantly reduced price for all audiences on weekday afternoons (before 4.30pm), with the new weekday matinee ticket now £6.50 (adults) and £4 (children).
  • We’ll soon begin accepting Meerkat Movies once again (details coming soon).
  • Our NHS concession ticket will be expanded to include Blue Light Card holders.
  • Bring Your Own Baby tickets will increase by 50p to £6.50, but will still include a free hot drink.

What's staying the same?

  • We’re continuing to offer Pay What You Can tickets for the majority of our Hyde & Seek weekend screenings, as well as Memory Matinees and Pavilion Presents screenings.
  • Our 15-25 Members will continue to have access to discounted £6 tickets, making us the cheapest cinema in Leeds for students and younger adults.
  • CEA card holders and MUBI GO subscribers can continue to access free tickets with us.
  • Child tickets will remain the same, at £6.
  • Our membership prices remain the same meaning they're a great way to save - our 35mm memberships costs £35 and includes four free tickets (worth £42 full price) as well as further discounts.

Pay What You Can screenings continue!

We’re proud to continue offering regular Pay What You Can screenings for many family-friendly Hyde & Seek films, Memory Matinees and Pavilion Presents events. For those wishing to access free tickets, this will now only be available by emailing (info@hpph.co.uk) or phoning our box office (0113 275 2045) up to 48hrs before the screening.

Free tickets will not be available for walk-up customers, and will be capped at five per customer. We are hoping this new process will encourage those who can afford to, to contribute an amount for tickets, helping to make Pay What You Can more sustainable in the long-term. We also hope this new process will reduce the number of no-shows we previously experienced, giving more people access to these screenings.

Ways to save

We're aware that we're not the only ones feeling the weight of financial pressures, so we've created a handy new Ways to save page, summarising all the many ways you can save money on tickets at HPPH.
