I thought me and my friends were cute, but nothing tops the friendship between Rocky and Ryan Gosling’s character, Ryland Grace. The film contains lots of important messages, but the loveliest of all is its emphasis on just how lifesaving friendship can be. Sandra Hüller, as always, gives a flawless performance. And those dazzling galactic shots are all the better on the big screen. It’s also the kind of film that will leave you debating with yourself long after about what you might do in the characters’ unusual situations.”
