As the COVID-19 pandemic begins to cause lockdowns worldwide, widower Kristófer (Egill Ólafsson) is showing the early signs of dementia. While his adult daughter pleads for him to go to doctors' appointments and stay safely at home, he books an impromptu flight to London.
There, he visits a near-empty hotel, to a tattoo shop, where he gets a Japanese phrase inked on his arm. But why is he here? He's searching for the one that got away, on a journey to find his first love who disappeared 50 years ago, before his time runs out, and there's no time like the present.
