A film adaptation of Rex Pickett's 2004 novel of the same name, Sideways follows two men in their forties: a depressed teacher and unsuccessful writer, together with his friend, a past-his-prime actor. With not much to show for their lives but disappointment and in deep in denial about the way they've turned out, they take a week-long road trip to Santa Barbara County wine country to celebrate Jack's upcoming wedding.

Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church give brilliant performances and are more than ably complemented by the outstanding Sandra Oh and Virginia Madsen in this pin sharp, funny and surprisingly emotional film of but love, friendship and the choices that people make that define their lives.

Pre-screening Wine Tasting Session

Before the screening at 16:30 we have a special wine-tasing session with an expert from our local supplier Latitude. Come along to taste some specially selected wines based on the film. Tickets are £10 each and very limited as we only have space for 12 people. You can book your place when you book your ticket for Sideways. 

(NB You must be 18 years or older to attend the wine tasting Session.)
