The JANAM app is a multilingual pregnancy and maternity education app created to support expectant and new mothers with trusted, evidence-based information throughout pregnancy and after birth. Through videos, illustrations, and educational resources available in multiple languages, it provides culturally sensitive guidance to help people better understand pregnancy care, labour, postnatal wellbeing, and newborn health. Leeds Maternity Service launched the JANAM app free of charge for South Asian people accessing the maternity service. This initiative was introduced to strengthen access to multilingual education and support for communities that can experience barriers to healthcare information and unequal health outcomes, helping ensure that families receive information in a way that feels accessible, relevant, and inclusive.
