Board Games Afternoon at Rainbow Junktion
On the first Thursday of every month, Rainbow Junktion Community Cafe are hosting a board games afternoon. You can enjoy a pay as you can afford three course meal while you play between 12 and 3pm. Find out more here.
Left Bank Activities
Left Bank are kicking off 2024 with plenty of varied activities to interest everyone and stave off the January blues. This Sunday they’re hosting a vegan yoga brunch and a family disco with DJ Jonny Strangeways. They’ve got a big free disco for adults on Fri 12 Jan and on Sun 14 Jan there’ll be over 40 stalls to browse at the LS6 Junk Yard Sale.
Theatre Screenings
This Sunday at 3pm, Otley Courthouse are screening Royal Ballet’s The Nutcracker. On Tuesday 30th January, our sister venue City Varieties are presenting a National Theatre screening of Skylight starring Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan.

Leeds Cathedral are hosting a free lunchtime organ concert on Mon 8 Jan by Dr Gordon Stuart. The first Brudenell Piano Sessions of 2024 is happening on Sun 21 Jan. Olivia Cuttill Quintet will be playing at Hyde Park Book Club on Sun 21 Jan. Katie Billes is performing at HEART on Tue 23 Jan. Margaret Glaspy is playing at the Brudenell Social Club on Wed 31 Jan.

On Mon 8 Jan, HEART are hosting their monthly poetry open mic night, Soundbites. On Tue 9 Jan, Manchester based publisher HarperNorth are running a publishing workshop at Hyde Park Book Club. On Thu 11 Jan, Bramley Library are livestreaming the British Library talk between acclaimed writers Susanna Clarke and Alan Moore. On Fri 19 Jan, The Bookish Type will be welcoming some of the authors behind issue 7 of Trans_Muted for live readings and Q&As.
