This week's Hyde Park Pick
HPPH recommends Love Lies Bleeding as the film you can't miss this week.
Ollie Jenkins
Fans of hot, daring and unashamedly queer cinema will not want to miss Love Lies Bleeding – Rose Glass’ follow up to her acclaimed debut horror, Saint Maud.
Kristen Stewart and Katy M. O'Brian fully and brilliantly inhabit the role of gym manager and bodybuilder – who after falling hard for one another on the grimy floor of their run-down gym – end up falling even harder into a world of crime and deception.

A heady mix of sex, steroids and violence – this visceral lesbian thriller is a huge amount of fun and a film that tries to not take itself too seriously, thanks to its dark humour and at times surreal tendencies.
Having already seen the film in a packed theatre, Love Lies Bleeding is a great example of a movie that works so much better when seen big, loud and with an energetic crowd – amplifying the film to pulse-quickening heights in a way that only the collective cinema experience can achieve.
Basically – it’s really good and you’ll have a brilliantly queer old time – so try not to miss it!
Love Lies Bleeding screens at HPPH from Fri 3 May - showtimes and tickets available here.
And you can catch Rose Glass' previous film Saint Maud on Wed 1 & Thu 2 May - tickets here.
