Leaving a Legacy
Our new Farewill partnership means you can write your will for free and give a gift to our charity if you choose to.
About us
Leeds Heritage Theatres is a registered charity that cares for three of the city’s most iconic buildings (Hyde Park Picture House, Leeds Grand Theatre and City Varieties Music Hall), welcoming 400,000 people each year to enjoy a wide variety of film, live theatre and music. We also provide vital support to communities across the city and region through our Learning and Engagement programme, offering a diverse range of workshops, skills training, and opportunities to have fun.
By leaving a gift in your will, you will help safeguard this important work, enabling us to continue connecting people across the region through the magic of creativity, arts, and culture. You will also help us to maintain our heritage buildings for future generations to enjoy. Your donations are crucial in funding our regular family-friendly Pay What You Can screenings, Autism-friendly screenings and Memory Matinees for those living with dementia at Hyde Park Picture House.
If you'd like more information about how leaving a gift in your will could make a difference, please contact our Development Team by emailing development@leedsheritagetheatres.com
“I'm very impressed and moved by the commitment to accessibility at HPPH. I always feel safe, welcome and comfortable there. I massively appreciate the 'you're going to the pictures' email you get on the day of your film to help prepare you.”

“Hyde Park Picture House is my happy place. The staff are really friendly, the programming is great, it's in Hyde Park not the city centre and helping contribute to the LS6 economy... and now the seats are really comfy, it's just the best cinema experience going.”

“Very welcoming, not too loud which is important to me as I have a brain injury and loud noises are overwhelming. Price was accessible as I’m unwaged. Not feeling rushed as I’m disabled. Toilets were nearby. Having an interval was important as I’ve bladder incontinence and frequency. Knowing I’d not miss the film because of toilet needs was a big part of my decision to attend.”
