Mithya
12A TBC
Why watch?
“In trying to capture what's so special about Mithya it's worth mentioning two other recent favourite films of ours Àma Gloria and The Quiet Girl, which both somehow managed to capture the particular vulnerability of childhood as well as the surety and depth of feeling that we all experience when young. When these qualities all intersect with trauma it's an overwhelming thing and in capturing this on screen Sumanth Bhat has made an at times difficult but also compelling and compassionate first feature.”
