An eight-week film discussion course
Wed 26 Mar – Thu 27 Mar

Why watch?

I enjoyed it immensely... it helps my understanding and appreciation of films, being able to hear how people interpret the themes and actions.

Feedback from last summer's Film Forum members,

Our popular Film Forum Course returns in the new year as part of our Hyde Park Film School strand. Join fellow film enthusiasts to watch and talk about films together over an eight week course.
Part of Hyde Park Film School

During your eight-week course, you’ll watch four specially selected new release films from our programme, then meet with the group on alternate weeks (on Wednesday evenings) for an in-depth discussion of the previous week's film.

Our course host, Tennae Maki, will moderate the sessions and provide additional insights and analysis.

• Start Date: w/c Fri 31 Jan (course length eight weeks)

Forum Discussion Dates:

Group One (sold out) Wed 12 Feb • Wed 26 Feb • Wed 12 March • Wed 26 March (all at 18:00 – 19:30).

Group Two (now booking) Thurs 13 Feb • Thurs 27 Feb • Thurs 13 March • Thurs 27 March (all at 18:00 – 19:30).

• Film #1: Hard Truths by Mike Leigh (screening from Fri 31 Jan)

• Film #2: TBC • From Fri 14 Feb

• Film #3: TBC • From Fri 28 Feb

• Film #4: TBC • From Fri 14 Mar

• Each film will have at least a week of screenings to give you lots of options to see the film at whichever time suits you best in the week before the discussion.

Tickets are: £50 full price | £40 members or concessions. Your pass gets you entry to the four films and four discussions.

• This course is limited to x12 places, and will be very popular, so book early!

Tickets are limited to one per customer (account).

• You will receive an email from us after booking with detailed information about how the course works and watching the new release films.
