The Dark Crystal
PG
On another planet in the distant past, a Gelfling embarks on a quest to find the missing shard of a magical crystal, and so restore order to his world.
The Dark Crystal, a source of balance and truth in the universe, was shattered, dividing the world into two factions: the wicked Skeksis and the peaceful Mystics. Now, as the convergence of the three suns approaches, the crystal must be healed, or darkness will reign forever.
It’s up to Jen, one of the last of his race, to fulfil the prophecy that a Gelfling will return the missing shard to the crystal and destroy the Skeksis’ evil empire.

Join us before the film on Saturday from 10:30am, for a drop-in activity with our Young Audiences Officer, Sylvia to create your very own hand puppet.
Our Sunday morning Hyde & Seek screenings at 11:00 in Screen Two are Autism friendly. These relaxed screenings are intended to provide a safe environment for neurodiverse audiences and anyone who finds standard screenings challenging. They feature prompt start times, raised lighting, reduced volume and a relaxed attitude to noise/moving around. To give audiences extra space, we reduce the capacity at these screenings, so pre-booking is advised as they often sell out.

This screening is supported by the Friends of Hyde Park Picture House. a registered charity compiled of a group of people who enjoy cinema and feel in some way connected to the Picture House.
