The Clothworkers North Film Festival

If Not Now, When? follows a struggling author as he desperately tries to finish his long-awaited sophomore novel. Overwhelmed by mounting pressure from his publisher, he impulsively escapes to the beach in search of distance from his failing work. However, a series of trampled sandcastles forces him to realise he isn’t so alone after all.

Young Souls explores the growing pull Northern Soul has on younger generations. Once a bustling scene in the 70s, it’s far from fading. Through the music, the dancing and an unmatched sense of community, the scene is being rediscovered, re-energised and carried forward into the future. The documentary is a celebration of Northern Soul and a love letter to the people who continue to give it life.

Circulation follows a young office worker as he slowly becomes strangely sick, struggling to assimilate into the rigid corporate structure and social standards of his surroundings. As his perception of reality begins to falter and others become eerily uncanny and robotic, he struggles to stay financially afloat whilst maintaining his own morality and identity.

The tickets for this event are pay-what-you-can, and all proceeds go to supporting Hyde Park Picture House. The dress code for this event is smart-casual, and there will be photographers documenting the afternoon for us!!
