 Adapted from the Broadway play by Norman Barasch and Carroll Moore, George Kimball (Hudson) is a hypochondriac who finds himself in a case of crossed wires when he mistakenly overhears his doctor telling another patient they have weeks to live. Thinking the doc was giving him the diagnosis, George decides he must find a new husband for his wife, Judy (Day). This, naturally, doesn’t go smoothly.
