Moulin Rouge!

Why watch?
“Firstly, I'm gobsmacked this film is 24 years old (omg). If you've seen any of Baz Luhrmann's work you'll know to prepare for a campy and gaudy time and boy, does Moulin Rouge literally have it!!! It's over the top, tongue in cheek, ridiculous, hedonistic, sexy, silly and IMO ahead of it's time (2001). You've got an incredible cast who perform a spectacular (SPECTACULAR) medley of songs amongst a whirlwind of colours, sparkles, CGI hearts and fast paced storytelling - blink and you'll miss something truly wonderful.”

“Baz Luhrmann’s glittery spectacle remains as captivating as it was in 2001 thanks to a magnetic star turn from Nicole Kidman and its relentless energy”
The Guardian
“A glorified (literally) arthouse musical, but a delightfully quirky, irresistibly intoxicating one at that [...] A breathtaking baroque film that marries the best of theatre, opera and cinematic technique. A triumphant, if unconventional, rewarding experience”
