Mamuwalde, an 18th century African prince, is transformed into a vampire by Count Dracula. The newly renamed Blacula is then entombed in Dracula's castle after a failed attempt to convince the Count to help put an end to the slave trade.
Two hundred years later, a pair of interior decorators transport Blacula’s coffin to L.A., where he awakes with an unquenchable thirst for human blood.
