Nickie Ferrante and Terry McKay are two strangers who meet aboard a transatlantic ocean liner. Despite being involved with other people, they form a friendship and soon fall in love. Deciding to see if their whirlwind affair will stand the test of time, they agree to split up and then meet in six months times at the top of the Empire State Building once they have broken things off with their existing partners. But a tragic accident prevents their rendezvous and the lovers' future takes an emotional and uncertain turn.
The screening on Mon 12 Feb at 14:00 is a Memory Matinee screening. Rooted in the idea that a trip to the cinema is a powerful way to reconnect with memories, Memory Matinees provides a safe and inclusive way for audiences living with dementia to visit HPPH.
